Watching Way Too Many Scary Movies

Okay, I think I need to really reduce my scary movie viewing. I noticed my cat batting around something on the floor and of course I need to investigate. She gets into every thing and usually things she is NOT suppose to have. It was a little brown thing and she was really interested in it. My first thought was it was a bug, then on closer investigation it looked like it had a lot of legs. OMG... Run!! I hesitantly picked it up with a tissue and just wanted to throw it out or flush it without looking because I really didn't want to know. I'm picturing an alien spawning to end human kind, or one of those aliens that attack to your face like in the movie Alien.... It turned out to be one of those little prickly stickers that you track in the house with your shoes. Okay, I need to drastically tone down my horror movies... LOL... Do you like watching scary movies???? Which one is your favorite??

@djbrat13 some days back I saw a spider crawling on my bathroom door. I felt so scared and didn't know what to do

I totally understand, I do the same thing. Or I wake up in the middle of the night and start thinking about it and I get freaked out...

@Nawsheen I do the same thing. I see it and I want to run but then I know I need to do something about it so it doesn't get away. So I just try to be brave and smack it. It's the worst feeling ever...

I think you are right, I've always enjoyed a wide variety of movies. I don't really gory movies but I do like thrillers and suspense movies.

I was watching horror movies for a couple years and then switched to Hallmarks lol I had to give my brain a rest from them. But now I have started watching them again on an app called Shudder. I watched a good one last night..Swedish horror oh what was the name of it ???? But I hope to watch many more. I think my fav is The Grudge (Japanese) Whats yours?

@TiarasOceanView Was it the extended version, the one where she did the spider crawl down the stairs? That still gives me chills just thinking about it

I really don't like watching scary movies alone, but occasionally if I want to Really see one and there isn't anyone around to watch it with, I will go ahead and watch it. Then I'm kicking myself later because I'm freaked out... lol

I like watching scary movies though I prefer action and scifi movies more. My favorite scary movies is dark floor(horror supranatural) and dark sky(alien abduction)

Yes, I do agree to that, but I have watched scary movies my whole life and really don't have nightmares about movies I have seen.

I like watching scary movies, but I don't like the feeling I get after watching it. The scenes and horrific images may come flashing through my mind especially when I'm alone or at the bed with the lights out.

I hear ya, right now I live alone (well, with a cat) and at night can get a little unnerving when I hear bumps in the night. Nobody to cuddle up to..
