Where To Live

If you could live anywhere where would you live? Would you look for a sunny beach or out on a big farm with livestock? How about a log cabin or one of the tiny homes to live almost anywhere by moving your home to a different location?
I was sitting here this morning thinking about my idea home, as the one I'm living in needs a lot of cleaning. It makes me want to move into a tiny home today. My ideal home would be a farm, as we didn't depend on grocery stores to survive during my childhood. I do like living in California with a year round growing season.

I would pick the beach every time because of the sea air.
Next I would pick a beautiful cabin in the mountains.

Both sound great. Your post has one of the few states I have never been in and hoping to see Colorado in the next couple of years. I know my husband would love the snow to ski.

@TiarasOceanView Wow, what parts of Colorado would you recommend? I enjoy the beach, as live near one.

That is great, as so many people are looking to move. The weather is good here; however, the cost of living is higher than most places in the United States.

@RubyHawk My husband and I have jobs in Southern California, so not moving from the state. My area really doesn't have winter, as last year in November we were over 90 degrees. My plants were so confused.

@Fishmomma I believe the cost of living is higher here than many other places. But relocating is expensive too. If our winter was colder I might consider it.

My ideal home would be near the beach. This has always been my dream. To wake up early and go for a morning walk on the beach and watching the sunrise seems to be so wonderful. To go on the beach and listening to the sounds of the waves when i am feeling overwhelmed will surely help in relieving my stress. And to end my day by watching the sunset. Well i hope that i get to buy a house near to the beach one day

A walk on the beach is a great way to reduce stress. I should do it today, as my phone keeps ringing.

I would love to live in warm country with many sunny days, without borring cold and snow, where I would not need to pay for heating at winter time.

I have some of the conditions mentioned no snow and it doesn't really get cold; however, we have many hot days. This area doesn't have seasons, as I can wear shorts most of the time.

I agree there are advantages and disadvantages, as lived on a farm for many years. There was always to much work and not enough hours to complete my work. Many days there wasn't anything fun happening that day and I don't miss the 100 pound hay bales.

I'm thinking of living in quiet and solitary place, kinda like living off the grid, growing my own food, powering my own house with solar panel, away from the world.
Later I realize that sustaining that kind of lifestyle could potentially kill me (wild animal, illness, wandering criminal, etc), so back to reality, lol

I admit that going solar does work in some places. Some of my neighbors have panels on their homes and the closest neighbor says they work for them. My house the Solar Christmas Lights didn't even go on, so the direction of the house must make a difference.

Hi I would like to live in a small log cabin with a stream by the front door. Next I would like to fish on the porch with the birds singing. I would grow a garden to grow almost everything I need. I would also have a dog and cat as my family.
They both would be friends for life.

I have looked at pictures of Scotland and the scenery is beautiful. I'm hoping to visit Scotland in the next 10 years.
