Overheated cat corpses in my front room

This is the current view of my front room. 3 of my 5 cats are sprawled out on, what I guess, is a cool-ish hardwood floor. We don't have central air conditioning in the house and none of the window AC units are up from the basement yet. The current inside and outside temperature is 95 degrees F. I've been in a $hitty mood all day and focused on how uncomfortable I've been. I forgot about my poor cat who are wearing a fur coat! It is clear from this picture that they are suffering too. One more is passed out on the bed under the fan and another is outside buried in bushes and the dirt. Poor kitties!

It is very hot. My husband said that he would put the AC unit into the bedroom tonight so we could sleep peacefully. The cats will all come in there with us tonight.

@NJChicaa Oh that is a good thing because sleeping would be terrible.

And summer's just getting "warmed" up, pardon the expression. Poor babies. We had a shower come through about mid-day, and it cooled things off for about 45 minutes...then it got hotter. I feed the strays that hang around where my aunt used to live (with the new owner's permission), and I go over every day to make sure they have plenty of water daily.

It's a tough thing with strays. My cats will be fine once we get th AC units into the windows. (As will I!)

Cats can get heat stroke @NJChicaa . The sooner those ac units go in the better.

I feel your pain about the bad conditions that the cats feel due the extreme heat.

They will at least have the bedroom to retreat to now. The rest of the house will be have AC when necessary after the weekend.

it is also hot where I am from and all my cats (3 of them) are usually sprawled on the floor for comfort. Sometimes, I turn the AC on but most of the time I don't. I give my cats cool to cold water for drinking and make sure that they have enough water to drink which I change often.

They're probably fine. Just have water bowls out
