How much did he pay you to cut his lawn?

I got paid 35.00 cash for cutting a lawn for a customer back in the 1990s. I got paid 30.00 cash for cutting a lawn in general at other times and as low as 10 dollars just to cut it and go. But, for the record, how much do you usually get for cutting some one's front and back yard in the city? Or have you been paid for instance, up to $100.00 for cutting the lawn, edging it, trimming the hedges and blowing the leaves and clippings away or sweeping it all up and bagging it? I think 25 dollars is the average rate but I may be off by a few.

I tend to DIY with our garden so do not have a clue how much it would cost!

DIY is always the best thing. I know lots of lazy people and they are more than happy to pay just to avoid doing it themselves. But at my age I don't really go looking for a lawn to mow. I have enough on my plate. Our yard is enough for me in this TEXAS HEAT.

@lookatdesktop OH lordy yes I bet it is. I told my wife I was going to lay concrete all over the lawn. She moaned but I like to see a bit of green. I told her ok I will paint the concrete green. She does not have to mow it!

Good question but i usually do my neighbours grass for free, that way they return the favour next time around

Good system. That works well if both agree on it. Mostly people feel the need to pay you something and that way they don't owe you a return favor. Off the hook so to speak. Cash settles it in an instant. The reason this doesn't work for me is my neighbors hate to mowe their own grass.

I can not mow my own lawn anymore due to bad arthritis in my knees, I pay the gut we use $25.00 a week he comes every week and he is cool because when I can not afford it he will let me pay it the next week.

It all depends on the size of the lot.
