Which antivirus do you use on your computer?

One of the most basic lessons when you start using a computer is to have to install a good antivirus to avoid major problems. It's not possible to use a computer in a 100% effective way without having an anti virus installed correctly.
What is your favorite antivirus? Mine is Norton.

Used to use norton but found it slowed down the system a lot...also it is a pain to get rid of.
I now use avg free with a few extra bits not running live.

On my own machines, I don't have a resident AV monitoring my files. I do, however, have my systems running limited user accounts that are tightly locked down; and use additional security measures such as Norton DNS, Bitdefender TrafficLight in my browsers, and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit for Windows machines.
When I'm configuring a Windows PC for someone else, I disable Windows Defender and install Bitdefender. On the Mac, I just leave it to the built-in Xprotect scanner.

Actually I don't use any anti-virus software today because I don't really trust them. I heard some of them create computer virus and therefore you can use their anti-virus to kill them. Not many people have the skills and time to make the computer virus.

@youless Apparently there are a lot of fake antivirus from China these days. They are calling computer owners in the US and fool the elderlies into buying the fake softwares and install them on their PC. I have come across a fake version of Norton 360 recently. The Chinese version is just '360'. I'd recommend Webroot for the US users. Norton just slows down the performance of PC.

@santuccie The official antivirus companies will not release the computer virus in a public way. They can do it secretly.
