I used to live in NY so i've seen my share of blizzards, a few small tornados and a couple of hurricanes. I also felt a few very small earthquakes.
Now i live in Florida, and went through some hurricanes-Francis & Jeanne where back to back cats 3 and 2. Some cat 1 hurricanes , and the last one was Matthew a cat 5 last year. Luckily it wobbled away from us at the last minute so we didn't get a direct hit.
It's officially hurricane season again, so will be keeping an eye on the sky.
What weather related events have you experienced?

Have you ever actually seen one? We get waterspouts here sometimes. I wouldn't mind seeing one of them -from a safe distance.

@Debscrochet Oh yeah. The 1975 outbreak in Omaha, Nebraska. It touched down 6 blocks from me and at the time I lived in a mobile home. We had all the children there in the club house hiding under the pool tables.

That's good. Otherwise, what's the average temp there?

I still live in tornado alley, and there have been so many tornadoes I couldn't begin to detail them. I have not actually had my house destroyed, although one took out the power lines in my neighborhood, as well as part of the roof, and broken windows. I have known those who lost their homes. I've been outside and watched them, but as they got closer to me I ran inside. My dad would sit out there and watch a tornado all day, because he never thinks it will hit us directly.

You're braver than i am. Why do you stay there? For me it's the fact my area seldom get them.

I live in Southern California so there is no severe weather. There can be mudslides but those affect houses on the beach or hillside.
