OMG why does this happen so often?

When I take time out to post a serious response to a real question and hit Post Comment, it goes to a blank page and says Done on the bottom but it hasn't posted. Is there a word count limit or something? I tried over and over but the same thing happened. I went back to the original question, refreshed it and my comment isn't there. Grrrr :(

this happens quite a lot to me when i am posting on a serious topic and have something to say thanx for raising it i was thinking it was just me

I have been having the same issue since the last "upgrade". I am sure that it is something they will fix.
There was a word limit that use to be stated on every page. It was 1,000 (maybe even higher) word though. I cannot imagine that anyone wne t over the limit. I have posted some very lenghty discussion questions (4-5 paragraphs) and have not broken the limit. I would imgaine that if your posts is breaking the limit, you would get an error message.
Beware, if you get the "Unable to post...." message, your answer probably did post. If you hit the post responce button again, you will more like than not make a double post.
