Birch beer is like rootbeer except as the name would indicate it is made with birch instead of sassafras. It tastes like root beer but the flavor is a little more distinctive, and not quite as sweet. I have white birch beer now,,and I totally love it. I buy it at Weis Market, which is a chain out of Pennyslvania and the only place I know where you can buy it.
