I am Demanding Some Fun Time

I am trying to plan out a weekend getaway for myself. I'll have to take my granddaughter with me though. He can find his own fun.

We spend so little time together lately. Well, we are in the same house together, but I want to do fun things together outside of the house too.

We had a great time. The flea market wasn't that big though and we didn't spend a lot of time there. This is a good thing because it kept us from spending money.

My SIL is not feeling up to having people over today. She cancelled the cookout. I am a little bummed over that one.

@LadyDuck I was disappointed, but that is okay. We will have another cookout once things simmer down at my brother's house. He is quite busy building a garage at their place.

@ElusiveButterfly I am sorry, not a very nice thing to do, a last minute cancellation is not so nice.

I guess I am going to have to get my oldest daughter to come by and watch Little Miss so the hubby and I can venture off together.

I hope the weather was good for the wedding. It was overcast until later this afternoon.

@DianneN Love outdoor weddings. Ours was held outdoors and it was a scorcher with 90+ degree temps and humid to boot. It was at one of the state parks with a lake nearby. Told our guests to dress in summer attire and bring a swimsuit. Very laid back and so much fun.

@ElusiveButterfly It rained while we drove in. Thank goodness it stopped by the time we got to the wedding, because the ceremony was outdoors. Fun time! Thank you. Little Miss is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a fun day!

It was a good day. The clouds finally burned off and the sun shone brightly. We had a good time.

I love browsing flea markets. Sometimes I buy absolutely nothing, other times I spend quite a bit.

@LovingMyBabies I saw a couple of things that I "wanted", but passed them by. Didn't spend a penny.

@ElusiveButterfly I do too! I also love yard sales and thrift stores. =)

No antibiotic until the results of the bloodwork comes back. I did have a good time at the flea market.

Neither of us is into sports so I am all good there! We do enjoy going fishing though and haven't done much of it this season.

We pay 6% in our state. It isn't bad, but when you are near a place where you pay no taxes you jump on that bandwagon fast.

@Juliaacv we didn't end up at Walmart this afternoon. Came home and I went shopping with Little Miss. May as well support our economy.

@ElusiveButterfly Yes, I would be all over that also. We used to cross the border and go shopping in Michigan both because of the lower prices and their lower taxes. We had to stop because it was getting too dangerous. When their economy tanked in the area that we went to, we were driving 1 day and noticed 3 different drivers give us really bad glances, and we attributed it to our license plate. And once we found out that grocery stores allow those who have permits to carry to do so in their stores, we decided that saving a few bucks wasn't worth it. We haven't been back, and that was several years ago. Now with the state of how people are treated at the borders we have no desire to ever cross again. Not until they undo their Trump-tricks at the crossings.

He browsed the tables and found a few things he liked. Neither of us bought anything.

It was fun walking around the market and seeing what was there. We didn't buy anything though.
