Like nothing else I've ever felt. I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness.. I cried with happiness.

I was incredibly disappointed and disgusted with my birthing experience (ended up in a C-Section after a 2 day long failed natural birth attempt.. ugh)..........
But seeing my baby for the first time was the most amazing thing I've ever experienced! Finding out that she was a girl was amazing as well (since we chose not to find out at our ultrasound). :)

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Thankful I never had to have a c-section.

It hurt at first but they all went so fast that I don't remember a lot of pain.

It was sad, I had an emergancy c-section with my last one and he was in the nicu and that was scary. My first was great.

You felt wide awake? Wow! I was never wide awake. I was so exhausted that there were a few times I had to shake my head to stay awake. Thank goodness my partner didn't mind holding the baby...because once I knew all was well and held the baby for a little bit...I would be falling asleep.

I felt tired and relieved! But relieved because then I could see my baby and know that everything was ok. He or she was crying, had all ten fingers and toes, two eyes, two ears, two arms and legs, one little nose...You can't see everything going on in the tummy. And just having a sonogram doesn't really make me feel better.
I also felt instant love. The want to hold him or her right away even though I was tired and the baby a mess. I just wanted to hold what I felt moving around for so long talking to.
I felt amazed that something so amazing was created within me.
I just loved them soooooo much!
