What a dismal performance from Team India.
Losing the match by 180 runs against Pakistan was one of the worst defeats India ever had against Pakistan.
Too much hype was created by media and ex cricketers that India will defeat Pakistan one sided but instead it happened other way around.
Pakistan team played amazing cricket be it batting , bowling and fielding.
This match exposed our weakness of fragile batting line up if the top 3 batsmen fail.
I felt it was Yuvraj, Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav's duty yesterday to give some fight to Pak bowlers as top order cannot win you matches all time.
Pandya was batting like a dream unless he got run out by selfish Jadeja.
Overall, a horrible day of cricket for team India.

Old topic but just wanted to comment...the biggest mistake is choosing to bowl first. I thought kohli made a wrong decision. Full credit to Pak bowlers.

@vijay_2016 I have quite often seent hat finals of ICC tournaments like World cup or Champions trophy are usually one sided.

@avi256 I am not sure if the dispute with kumble had an impact in making this decision. I mean he might not have got proper inputs from think tank.
Anyhow India and kohli lost a good chance of clinching another ICC tournament

Many were feeling overconfident that India will easily win against the Pakistan team in the final. However, I had anticipated a close fight and not the huge margin that was the end result.
While bowlers did fail, batsmen should have adopted a cautious approach initially and may be started attacking later.
And yes Middle over should have played better.
Let us hope this loss will make Indian team revise its strategies and be better prepared for such situations in coming series and tournaments.
