Cooking All By Myself and Enjoying

The other day, I was in my kitchen quietly cooking dinner for more or less a hundred people (for our church's Fathers Day celebration), when my husband came in. He was overwhelmed by the big task I was doing and he kept nagging why I was doing the cooking all alone when I could ask help from the other ladies in our church. I told him to just keep quiet because I need no help and love what I am doing. He did. And I finished the cooking just in time.
Sometimes, I find it easier when doing things all by myself. What chore do you find easier when doing it all alone?

Almost anything, I am pretty much a one-woman show, other people just get in the way.

Did you share or ate the whole chicken on your own?

Wow, cooking for 100 people! That would scare the daylights out of me and I'd rather be a helper.

Oh I am so much the same.
I do not like any interference when I am doing something.
I am glad you were able to do this all by yourself.
That is a lot of people to cook for!!

my sister, at this moment, is whining again because she does heavy work but refuses to accept help from me or my son.
i would prefer to do my own chores without her, and that is washing the dogs' dishes. if she comes, she wants it done according to her standards and i do not like that we clash, again and again and again.

That's true, it is better to work alone when all the things I need for cooking are already in my kitchen.

Well, I like it when someone helps in the slicing of the ingredients. Cooking isn't so tedious to me if they were all sliced when I cook.
Though, when I am cooking already and hubby keeps telling me that it should be done this way and that and put this and that, I would tell him, I am the one cooking so let me.

Cooking for a 100 is very impressive.
I have done up to 30 but always people to help out.
I understand what you mean though..I can systematically get through my task if I am alone .

It really does sound too hard but when all the things I need are on the table... with full concentration, and no interruption, it is not really that hard.

Wow! 100 people. That is indeed a big task. I can't think of a chore, but I want to work alone to speed up what I am doing.
