Mobiles,Computers and Internet(necessary for children OR not)???????

June 21, 2017 11:54am CST
So here is the thing I wanted to discuss for many days.. Some days ago , 5 little girls (my cousins) came to visit me with their moms..They all are adorably adorable and are very cute (2 of them are just I/2 years old)... and I was shocked to see that they were not leaving their mom's phones even for a second.... AND I think every child of this new generation has a addiction towards Xbox,Android phones, tablets ,ipad, computers, laptops etc.... Is this right or wrong??? WELL I'll let you know my point of view..I think Nowadays as the world is moving too fast you can't afford to keep your child a step backward from this moving world and this thing force the parents to buy these kind of items to their child...As internet offers a great amount of knowledge but children are getting much weaker physically due to lack of sports and physical activities.. So what do you think ???

Ya it's important, since If someone is not updated with the computer and smartphone then probably he or she maybe considered as backward or outdated.

Yep even if a child of 2nd standard don't have smart phone or tablet (etc) then his own class fellows tease him for not having phones...and Call him outdated... But I think there should be complete restriction to the timing..I mean parents should encourage their children for more activities rather than just mobile phones...

I agree with you. I always think that they are not necessary for young children. They need more books and outdoor activities instead. Actually I even think that the digital devices will be harmful for young children, especially their eyesight.

I started using computer when I was in grade 6 and believe me my parents kept on saying me that "keep your self at a far distance from the monitor's screen" and until now I cannot use my laptop for several hours.. My mom starts to scold me when It gets almost 1hour and I haven't shut down....

This type of technology has become an essential part of a child's education since usage of such equipment will soon be compulsory in most forms of employment. Nevertheless, there is a limit to how young a child should be involved in technology.

And there should be a limit to how much a child is using these technologies... I mean I agree that These are very essential for a child's futurE specially when the world is running too fast. Instead of all the advantages of these technologies there is a drawback of these gadgets that Child's are getting weaker physically, they get tired soon, they are having eye pain and the main thing is child is more comfortable , sitting in front of the computers instead of going out to play.....

I think when the zombies attack, my kids will be some of the rare few that have the strength to run...because the only technology they have access to are computers. They do tend to gravitate towards computer games and Netflix but we have limits on how much time they get to be "on". On the flip side, we're probably not preparing them very well for adulthood, as they don't know what twitter, etc. is. Heck, I hardly know what some of these techy things are!

Kids will be like that even with their non-electronic toys, so I don't think that's an inherent problem with the technology itself. But I think its power for good or ill has more to do with what role the parents give it in the child's life. If it's being used as a babysitter to keep a child sedated and out of the way, then that seems like training a child in bad habits for the sake of the parent's convenience which will probably have bad results later on. But used conscientiously as educational and self development tools, early exposure to technology can be very valuable and empowering.

I totally agree , mobile phones and internet should be used for educational purposes..As technology seems to have a great area in the future of this world........ Parents should understand the need of their child instead of providing any thing they want..... They should provide only what's right and should keep the wrong material off until the child is fully developed mentally
