Remember the game of Twister? That was me today. I am a messy gardener and know it. Green stuff sprawls. I put in a teeny apple mint plant. It weeded and sent out shoots and more shoots. Beautiful and fine for tea. Same with the perennial geranium ocean. The big issue is that strawberry plants also sent out shoots. That's another green ocean. All these oceans under an ailing tall rose bush clump. This morning I tippy toed in through a fake wrought iron gate and invaded the sprawl. Got any ripe berries hiding in here under all the leaves? The answer came after I'd twisted my left hip and gyrated my spine a little. Yes! Almost a quart of over ripe strawberries. I plan to make simple wheat biscuits tonight. I'll slice some of the berries on top and put a dollop of coconut cream on top. In the old days it would have been cow cream but now its coconut cream. Yum either way!
