Some coffee or cappuccino before bedtime?
This sounds creepy right? Some coffee before bedtime and a few people are considered drinking coffee at night is kind of "taboo" or best to keep away from.
To be honest, I love drinking coffee and so used to have a cup of coffee or cappuccino before bedtime. The caffeine doesn’t have a negative impact on my sleep.
What do you think, is coffee affecting your sleep?

Coffee before bedtime never affects my sleeping time.
I am a coffee addict, before I used to consumed 6-10 cups a day, but I have to lessen it.
Now, I only limit my coffee to 5 cups a day.

@TibetanCulture I am trying to lessen it more.
I have tried to stop it and I managed to avoid coffee for months, but now I am back again with 3-4 cups a day.

Thank you for the feedback.
Indeed, you have a very strong addiction to coffee! Very intriguing. I have restricted my habit of drinking coffee for a maximum of 3 cups a day which is including my bedtime.

For me the effect varies. Sometimes consuming coffee hours before bedtime actually makes me feel sleepy, other times it makes me so alert that it takes me hours to sleep. It doesn't matter what type of coffee it is, or whether it's hot or iced. I guess it has to do with how rested or tired I am that day.

You are right, drinking coffee is an addiction and some people cannot live without it. Besides coffee I love drinking English tea and Japanese green tea. But then again, coffee is a must mantra for my daily life.

I used to be like you. Drinking a cup of coffee before bedtime. But since I started working in the BPO (call center) my body clock has changed. I have to quit coffee for some reasons. First, I had a hard time sleeping due to frequent change of schedule. Second, I have high Uric, I had a hard time walking on my right foot. So, to lessen my problem, the first thing that popped in my mind is to quit coffee. Since then, I didn't have problems with sleeping and walking anymore. I miss coffee but too bad I had to quite goodbye!

I am sorry to hear that you have stopped drinking coffee with a particular Uric acid problem. Working on an irregular shift and it could be potentially fatal for chronic disease patients, who are having of hypertension, cardiovascular, etc.
It is delighted indeed that you have defeated your coffee addiction and regained your wellness and Insomnia. I am not praising, but salute you with your determination.

I don't drink coffee at night, but I've had tea after dinner and it doesn't seem to affect me. Is that normal in Tibetan culture? Do you usually eat a late evening dinner (after 6 pm)?

Thank you for the feedback,
Traditionally, the Tibetan are so used to our owned salty butter tea. Now coffee has been introduced by the Chinese merchants as a very new trendy kind of drink across some of the urban city of Lhasa, Tibet. But coffee is still relatively inaccessible in the remote region of Tibet.
