I only knew him on Social Media

I got so depressed last night on Facebook. One of my online friends who I met through a music group, who was full of life, who posted a lot with in the music group and who affected many in the group in a positive way, died of a heart attack yesterday!
Everyone in that group was so saddened. A couple of people had actually met him in real life. But, most just knew him only online.
I feel so bad for his girl friend and his family. Say a prayer for them.
Even though I only knew him on Social Media, I mourn for him. He was around my age and he brightened people's day with his happy go lucky, funny, personality.

Just because we only know someone online, doesn't make our mourning any less when they pass. I mostly talk to people online, and would be very sad if any of the people I'm close to online passed.

Wow!! This is sad. I have lost a couple of online friends over the yrs due to Health issues. We never know what tomorrow will bring.

That is true, we don't know what tomorrow will bring and that is why I am trying to enjoy each day.

Sorry to hear this.
I knew it, I also lost a dear friend whom I only met through social media.
He is like a father to me and we've been friends for years, it was his son (also my friend) who sent me a message about it.
It was really a sad news, but that's life.

Sorry about your friend. It's possible to get really fond of our cyber friends even though we will never meet them. There are lots of people on this site that I genuinely care for, and would be devastated if anything bad happened to them.
