We are considered the wisest creatures on earth , aren't we the cruellest as well? I became a vegetarian 5 years back for this very reason. Is it not a sin to kill anyone irrespective of whether its a human or an animal? I always has this in mind but my temptation for the taste didn't let me to stop eating flesh for years. But at last I decided and turned into a true vegetarian. A tiger is born to eat flesh, its digestive system can't digest anything else , but we have options,so why should we stress on eating flesh.Killing an animal just for taste, its nothing less than a henious activity. We are not living in the stone age when people had very few options. We have developed so much but we can't leave the urge for eating fleshing a shame on us.In cultures where dead body is considered as impure and people take bath after the last rituals ,also don't hesitate when it comes to kllling animals for food. What are they eating ,an impure dead body?So much is done after we die so that our soul tests in peace, why can't we show the same feeling to animals. The same cruelty is shown when we kill animals for money , or example , elephants for their teeth. Are we really the wisest creatures on earth.? Why does our emotions die in case of animals? Are we really civilised? I don't think so.

I agree with you, but I believe God creatures everything for a reason and we see things in different perspectives therefore you can't say that we humans are cruel to animals. This is only my opinion..

You may disagree but I don't think that God created us to eat flesh. We are considered the wisest so if we have other options why should we go for meat , when it involves taking a life out of an animal.

@pankaj1481 Not to offend anyone and I respect your opinion first. But as you mentioned the way God created us, he also have given canines (the sharp teeth). Canines are seen in carnivores. So does that mean we're also meant to be meat eaters?

@SanyoSan but aren't we wise enough to decide which option to choose.
