I planted lots of dry bell pepper seeds today and a few pecans.

I know it sounds funny but I like to grow things from seed, not go buy a tree that is already about 6 months old in most cases but as for pecan, you must have one that is grafted to get fruit from it within even up to 7 years from the day you put it in the ground. We had paper shell pecans in my parent's back yard and they had nuts every year. We harvested so many one year we had to literally give them away by the bags full from one single tree.
If I get a seed to grow from the ground up, it is more adapted to the soil, the climate and the weather.
If I put seeds down and they take forever to sprout, maybe that is just NATURAL.
Being patient in any garden is a golden rule of thumb.
It takes 5 to 7 years to get pecans from a grafted pecan tree, but if you grow a pecan from a seed in a pot, it can take up to 25 years before that tree will bear fruit. That is something to think about before getting started. Watch this YouTube on this topic below:

I almost forgot I planted some bell pepper seeds a month ago and now they are all sprouting up in one of my 4 feet by 4 feet bordered garden plots in the back yard.
Growing your own pecan tree for a ton of wonderful eating nuts might be easier than you think! Come with me on a pecan growing journey as I show you my pecan...

@lookatdesktop Well that's good. You will have lots of peppers now.
There are many things which can easily be grown at home
