For those of you that lived a long time in a place what made you decide to move rather than stay where you are?

I wanted to move before 17 years. When we first moved there I was not sure and then I liked it and then the nice ones moved out and evil ones replaced them and it was not a place for me. I could not afford to move for quite some time and did not know where. Someone I know that owns an apartment here told me about it and came a few times and then decided to move in and here I am 5 years later. People have moved out and others moved in. I have a good place inside for my scooter and I love the area. Renting is very hard because I want to be able to stay here and hope no one causes me trouble so I cannot.
