Happy to see a beginning of a new month and, at least for me, a new financial year! I’ve been spending less time on here to attend to my end-of-financial year obligations and I’m so relieved it’s now over with everything under control. I have closed the books for the old year and a fresh budget for the new year is laid out...
I have set a rather optimistic myLot goal in the beginning of June. I said I’d increase my activity number (the number in parenthesis next to my username) by 1000 in June. It was at 21420 in the beginning of June, and it should be at 22420 at the end of June if I were successful. As you can see, I failed as it’s only barely over the 22k mark. Oh well, I’ll just carry on the goal into July and will shoot to break 23k mark by end of July...
Happy myLotting you all! Oh, what is the name of the beautiful bright pink flower in my picture? I’m terrible with flower names - only know the basic like roses or tulips...

That is a beautiful flower. You are not alone, I do not know my flower names either except the basic roses, tulips..... um do I know any other ones? LOL.
Umm let me think.... without cheating......
I ask my boyfriend: What other flowers are there.. roses.. tulips?
His answer: Don't know
He didn't even help me think.
Ok, OH I remember.
SUNFLOWERS
Hahah
Happy July to you! It will be July in two hours.

Happy July . . . and Happy New Financial Year!
Ah, well it sounds like you were pretty close anyway . . . almost there. You were super busy so you have a legit excuse . Hope you can relax a bit now and be here even more so you can hit that goal for next month.
As for the flower, I guess you got answers from others . . . it's so pretty! Is this from your yard?

@much2say yeah, some flowers seem to just grow out of the blue there... I don't really do anything with my backyard... my husband takes care of it and he likes to leave it somewhat naturally wild instead of turning it into some carefully landscaped and maintained garden...

I always expect top notch everything but am never disappointed if it doesn't happen @sishy7 life is like a playground with many rides and I simply go from one ride to another. It's all good all things considered.

Is it a Carnation flower no?
Hope you can achieve your goal then in July Sishy.
This July I have a crucial meeting to attend at the end of July ..I pray it goes well..that is my main worry at this time.
My goals I am taking one by one, it is the only way for me now.
I am so easily stressed out by nonsense now. Overwhelming.

@TiarasOceanView I can't decide between Begonia or Hibiscus - both were suggested on responses and both have a type that looks very similar to my picture.

Like you I'm hopeless with flower names. I know roses, tulips and orchids.

@atoz1to10 Different companies distribute them in different ways... Mine will probably be handed out at the office by end of next week... For the non-active employees, they will probably be posted out to their home addresses.

I'm not positive what the flower is now. I look at many flowers of both on other sites and leaning on Anna's answer.

@velvet53 Very kind of you... Our number increases by one each time we post a discussion, a response, or a comment... So, it's really up to me if I'm able to increase it by over 100 activities in the next couple of days... For some members that many activities are easy to do in a day, but I tend to read too much when I'm on here and really slow to post anything so it'd be quite a feat for me.

The flower in the picture looks like Hibiscus rosa-sinensis.What confuses me is why your new financial year begins in July.

@sishy7 However its leaves aren't like Begonia. In the link below, there are nine photos on the right-hand side.I think the bottom one is like yours .

@changjiangzhibin89 oh yes, you're right... they look really similar down to the leaves on both pictures... I guess, like Begonia, there are also different shapes of Hibiscus...

Another member also guessed Hibiscus but yet another said it's a Begonia and after checking the pictures of both online my picture does look closer to the Begonia...
Yes, the fiscal year in some places do not always follow the calendar year. There are places where it runs from 1 April to 31 March (the UK, I believe) and in Australia it runs from 1 July to 30 June of the following calendar year.

Your Begonia is beautiful, sishy! (It's not my favorite color (red) but it will do.)
Was that the goal you were telling me about last month? If you had shared it with some of us, you would have made it, you know!

@sishy7 Yes, but the problem was that I didn't get to your first post in June until July, Dearheart... That doesn't help you out one little bit!
