2 months ago ,A Saudi girl tried to escape Saudi Arabia to seek Asylum to Australia because she is being molested by her family. She would have escaped successfully but her Plane stopped over Philippines and the Philippine government cooperated with her family when they tried to stop her. Screams are heard over the Philippine airport
This pisses me off because Philippines is a country with great women's rights.Men and women are paid equally there so seeing the Philippines cooperating with this woman's family to kidnap her back to Saudi is just sad.

I am neither in Dina Ali's side nor our government. But I will lay down a possibility I can think of as to why this happened.
Currently, our country is facing a terrorist threat, war still continues and that our government is concerned of our nation's security. Unfortunately for Dina Ali, she came in our country in these bad times.
Martial law was declared in Mindanao and tight security has to be maintained because it was found out that there are people coming in the country that are related to the threat.
Not only in Mindanao that the terrorist threat may occur hence there are and there will be countermeasures in other parts of the country.
Anyway, I think Saudi Arabia has to look into this matter too if they care about their countrymen.

@CaptAlbertWhisker that's their culture... we can rant or show our sympathy but foreign countries are hands off to their own affairs...

I haven't heard about this in the news.
In my own understanding, (though I'm no lawyer), if Dina Ali is still a minor, then the Philippine government's hand us bound by the technicality of the law. And as @Dextoi pointed out, the government is currently focusing on the terrorists attack in Marawi. I don't know if they could do something as a government, since this would probably fall under a domestic problem.
On the other hand, the international human rights organization probably could do something

She is not a Minor but we know Saudi women have no rights.

First time I've heard of such horrible news. Hopefully, she gets the freedom she rightfully deserves.

@CaptAlbertWhisker yeah, saw the Change.org signature campaign for this and it had stated that the signature campaign failed.

@allen0187 I just hope the next Saudi girls who will escape Saudi should avoid flights that stops in the Philippines.

That is why it is hidden from the people. It seemed like Philippines have a deal with Saudi about this. Saudi provides a lot of jobs for the Filipinos after all.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Y'know what? I see why you're in Canda now, because this is some old B.S. That's beyond stupid. But she is a kid, and credibility of children is always questionable...
