Banned and Blocked

I visit several sites and read posts there even if I'm not a member, as long as it's a "viewable" site, meaning, sites where non-members or members who are not logged in can still read posts, browse profiles and use the search function (just like Mylot). I noticed that every time I typed ‘Postloop’ on Google, the first page search results always include ContentGather, so out of curiosity, I right-clicked on the link and opened it into a new tab. Ah, a site to sell articles. I wonder what the reviews are? Again, out of curiosity, I typed ContentGather on Google and clicked 'Search.' When I got to Page 3 and clicked on a site called WAHM, I got a white page and message saying: "Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here." It reminded me of other sites I would love to join, but can't, like SwagBucks and Bing Rewards. I search a lot online, so a paid-to-search site would be perfect for me, but when I go to Swagbucks I get a blank white page, no message. When I go to Bing Rewards, I get the message: "Bing Rewards isn't available in this country or region. Currently, only US residents located in the US, are eligible for Bing Rewards. Check your location setting." Some sites are nice enough to put disclaimers, for example, Cash Crate: "Members from the United States and other English speaking countries will have the most offers available to them, but members from other countries are welcome too." That way, you know what to expect, right? It's a fact of online life that I do understand and accept. The money just isn't there from countries like mine. I've read about using proxy servers, but I’m not really interested. I guess it would probably be frustrating if I were an English-speaker located in a non-English-speaking country.

you can provide content on a variety of topics based on your interests and talents and experience from many different countries. those sites don't know what they're missing.

I too have had this experience, in fact one of the article writing sites where I had accumulated nearly 50 dollars suddenly declared that Asian writers we're not welcome. When I requested for my hard earned money they simply declined. But I did manage to get it ..but I felt that was a very high handed and unfair manner of dealing with the situation.

@GardenGerty Yes that was what made me very angry, preferring not to have Asians is their prerogative but they cannot deny payment ..

When I first read this, and you were getting blocked. That is why I thought you were getting blocked. Proxy servers and most of these sites test for that if you can make money from them. It is like the number one rule, they want your info. I have been nearly banned from 2 sites because they thought I had a proxy server. Global economy is still looked at in an unkind way , even on the internet. I am not sure as to why because cheap labor, but could be what they always do. Pretend to hate something to seem in the mainstream of things. I hope that does not sound harsh, just saying how it is. Not my rules. My rules would be everyone could make a living wage online from where ever at any time of day. If people are living in poverty that would be on them at that point. I would find something everyone could do also. No you are not qualified because you lack skills. Such a BS excuse.

I too often encounter" sorry people from your country (India) are not allowed to join this site". When I tried joining Slice the pie got the same response. Most of the surveys are also not available for people from Asian countries.

That must be a bit frustrating. Being here, I guess I don't encounter that as much, but it can still happen. For me, I think of certain You Tube videos I can't see . . . it tells me "not available in your country" so I can't see it.

@hereandthere I don't know all the rules and regulations - is it a security issues? It doesn't happen often, but I do get disappointed finding what I want to see and not being able to see it!

there are news articles that won't show the attached video here, but i'm surprised why you would get that, being in the us. i was surprised that a dental website wouldn't let me view it either as i told crossbones.

Are you using landline dsl internet like PLDT or do you use prepaid like Smart and Globe. You share Ip address with some people if you use prepaid, so someone else's violation can get you banned in sites you never visited before.

no, our internet is not prepaid. you're in canada now, so you probably don't encounter this anymore.

Paying Sites can detect if you are using VPNs so it is also useless if you are an american living in the Philippines you can't use those earning sites too

I have not encountered those sites. You are everywhere. Have you tried checking online some of the people here at Mylot?. That could be interesting what we all are doing besides Mylotting.
