Using the color "white" today as I continue to pay homage to the birth of our nation using red, white, and blue songs. A twist here bands/artists are from Britain. 1. This English rock band charted a # 1 classic in the UK in 1967. They were at the forefront of the symphonic/prog-rock sound that developed during this time. This "chestnut" was one of the biggest selling singles of all time with over 10 million in sales. 2. The song was part of a concept album based on different times of the day. The idea for the tune came about from a set of white satin sheets given to one of the band members. 3. This British Singer-Songwriter was at his peak in the early 70's. He started his career off playing in pubs and coffee hours as a solo performer. His brand of folk-rock became very popular, and some of his early hits were; "Mathew and Son" and "I'm Gonna Get Me A Gun." His albums of 1970-71 cemented his popularity as a musical force. 4. This English musician/songwriter gained recognition performing with a 1970's punk band called Generation X. This "chestnut" off his first solo album became a favorite video on the newly formed MTV network. Songs: 1. Whiter Shade of Pale 2. Nights In White Satin 3. Into White 4. White Wedding Know the artists/bands? As always any comments/information added to the discussion is appreciated. Thanks for playing? *Bio information Wikipedia and songfacts.com

Love the first two so much. I'll leave it for others to answer because mentioning the band who sang #2 just makes me mad at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame......

Why look them up Ocean T. it takes all the fun out of finding out which ones you got right or wrong! 3 out of 4 is pretty darn good by the way Anyone can find out the answers online. Better to use your own brainpower not rely on a computer for answers!! Thanks for playing!!

@dgobucks226 Only singer I knew here ( from what I remember ) is Billy Idol. I like him a lot. I can't think of anything else right now with the "white" in a title.
