Just a short note to shout about the final cataract surgery being done earlier today. I have a post-op appointment tomorrow and then home again tomorrow or the next day.
Everything went smoothly today and I'm resting at a friend's house. She took me to today's surgery and will take me to tomorrow's appointment too.
I'm looking forward now to (finally) getting my eyeglasses prescription upgraded sometime in August, I think.

I had Cataract surgery about 9 yrs ago or so. Best thing I could have ever done, even though I was only in my 40s. I had a really bad one in my right eye, and small one in my left. Had the right done first and then the left. Have not had to wear glasses since. Still to this day only use readers when I am on my tablet or phone. Do not need them when I am on the Computer or watching TV, etc most of the time.

Thank God everything went well! It's such a drastic change from when my uncle had cataract surgery in the 70s (he had to be in the hospital for it) and when my mom had it in the 90s (in the doctor's office, we stopped for lunch at McDonald's on the way home).

It's amazing what they can do with eye surgery today. Good luck with your recovery and getting your life back
