So you think it's easy?

I just got an email from the fella for whom I refinished two pairs of JBL L-100 vintage loudspeakers. He's chipping away the old glue from where the foam grilles go inside the grille frames that I restored. It's a pain in the neck, he told me!
I told him I'm glad I've never opened that particular "Pandora's Box," and gave him some advice about how to fix any damage he accidentally causes to the outside walnut veneer part that I restored.
So now I'm working on a pair of KLH 17s that will get beautiful (JoAnn's Fabric) screens and become a part of my permanent collection. I had to remove the old screens by taking out the staples one at a time. Then I spray painted the frame black, to match (more or less) the color of the woofers and tweeters. Finally, I will cut the screens out and hot glue them to the screen frames. That's a lot of work!
Do you have anything you do that appears easy to others, but actually is quite "nuanced" and/or requires a lot of work? For me, it's a labor of love, so I don't mind it. But I'm not ready or willing to open any new "Pandora's Boxes" right now.

Yes hairdressing is not just chopping, it is quite an intricate art.

@TiarasOceanView I've never tried that. Horse clippers can cut pretty close.

I don't blame you. I do research which can painstaking and labor intensive.

@TheHorse .....I don't bill. I give people info I have found about natural herbal products. Other things too but that is one thing I really enjoy researching.

I guarantee that I couldn't do that without screwing it up.

@TheHorse - Yes, but I'm not really very good at working with my hands.

@teamfreak16 Refinishing speakers is mostly working with your hands for motor morons (like me). But don't tell anyone I said that.

Sometimes when I did graphic design work for certain clients, they would ask me why it cost that much . . . it's easy and wouldn't take that long, they'd say. Well if it were that easy and fast, they should have done it themselves and not even bother to ask me .

Yes people seems to think that buying a dumpy house, painting and cleaning and sometimes sanding hardwood floors is easy.
I have refinished furniture before and that is not an easy job.
