Manipulation - They Learned And Use It

I am learning what they have already learned, manipulation to get what they want. I will not being naming names and I will probably use "he" no matter if the people are male or female, just so people wont think its all about them ( people can be that vain!)
I am around just as many people who suffer from mental conditions as I am people who do not. I am around just as many poor people as I am rich people.
All of the above know how to manipulate people to get what they want. Whether it be free labor or money.
I recently laid off one employee because I just do not need them anymore and they knew the job was temporary, one month. I got a friendly message a few days ago stating they hope that they will be able to make a payment on ...... they sure would hate to lose it.
I know this person is not broke, they have a nice payday coming in already. I wanted to answer with " stop smoking cigarettes and you`ll have several hundred dollars each month to pay that bill." Instead I did not reply back because I know what the deal is they want to keep working doing what I do not need help with just to get paid. They say "you`re rich!" but I say, I spend my money wisely, I dont waste mine smoking.
Another person called to ask how Tony was doing and I said really good and maybe I can go on vacation, take him too since both of us has been stuck here for almost 9 months. She replied " I wish I could go on vacation! I cant even pay the light bill, I reckon they will just cut it off." This makes me mad, so mad that I began to stop taking their calls altogether. This person was insinuating that I should give her my money that I saved for vacation! I know them to well. I just replied " I know what you mean, Wanting a vacation and affording one are two different things." I also know how much this person makes a month, no need for her to be asking for money.
And that is two examples of people taking money from others instead of doing without stuff they can live without like eating out every meal, tattoos, cigarettes, beer, movies, cell phones, dish t.v., netflix and more. Do you think I would allow my power to be cut off and pay a freakin cell phone bill or internet? NOOOO I got better sense that that.
Do people try to manipulate you to hand over your money while they have fun on theirs?

No, I don't have anyone trying that on me but it certainly wouldn't work. We worked hard to be where we are and I don't throw my money on anything that isn't something we want or need. If there is a real need, we would be right there but no one I know is in real need right now.

@andriaperry I had an older brother who borrowed from everyone else in the family but never asked me, He thought I was poor and I never tried to change that opinion. lol We never showed off what we had and saved a lot.

@BelleStarr I don`t show off but people know I have the rental houses, they have no idea what I spend to keep the business going, they think I just collect money.

I have a ton of stories about how people try to get money for nothing from me, they dont care if I have food as long as they can get what I have.

There are many manipulative people in this world. One example is my 6 year old granddaughter The only thing we can do is not to let them get away with it. I have learned that after too many years of falling in that trap.

@andriaperry We have very little family and they live 800 miles from us. We talk to a lot of people, but none ask us for money and if they did they wouldn't get any. Of course we hire people, we are always having work done. Sure we've been screwed over since we moved south. That's life and it doesn't happen a second time.

LOL, so you just do not talk to family? Family will try to freeload faster than any, Or you do not hire people?
In my business I meet ALL people, although I moved and they cannot come to my house to borrow/bum does not mean I am alone and not talking to people.

Yes they do try but doesn't work with us.
We have tv, internet, netflix, wwe network, and cellphones but we also make sure the car insurance, rent and food is first then cable/internet, lights and phone then everything else after.
Although we also eat out or go shopping whether we actually have the money to or not, but not too much that it ever makes a huge difference. And bills still always get paid even if one - two weeks late. And never by anyone but us.

Yes, I know people like that. Sad to say they are in the family. I don't have much money but I am willing to help when it's needed. Unfortunately, they think that because I helped them in a pinch, I will help any time. They make more than I do and have more "things" than I do, too.

It seems manipulation is an art form for many people these days @andriaperry
Those wasting money of things not needed should not expect you or anyone else to help.
