Seaside Entertainment On Sunday At The Jersey Shore

Just got back from a terrific early Sunday evening show at a local seaside NJ bar I frequent on occasion located in Avon-By-The-Sea. Great name for a shore town. This NJ group which calls themselves The Bobby Bandiera Band was stellar tonight. If you like classic rock like I do, these guys provide it in abundance. I was in musical heaven tapping my feet to The Doors, The Who, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, and Springsteen. If you like Oldies the band provided them with Sugar Sugar, Mustang Sally, and Runaway to name a few of the ones they played. As my friend noted during the performance, he just played two of the greatest screaming rock songs of all time, The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again," and The Doors "Light My Fire." So, my Sunday went from quiet to excellent. Good to get out sometimes.
By the way, if you google Bobby Bandiera you will find some interesting background information on him. He is an excellent guitarist and legend at the New Jersey shore. He's played for Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes, and with Springsteen.
I hope your day was a good one too. Did not mean to ramble on just good to have an eventful day if you know what I mean. Wishing all my followers and My Lotters a wonderful evening too. DB

I remember going to many bars down the shore when I was growing up. We always went to Ocean Beach as a kid with my parents. When I was a teen I would go to Seaside a lot and when I got married I went to Wildwood a lot as my husband and then daughter use to march in the parades with the Drum Corps that they were in.
I have many great memories of the "shore".

I always felt like down in Wildwood and the Ocean beach area was really "down the shore." So scenic!

We share a lot of the same musical tastes! Yes, he toured with them and is a phenomenal guitar player I go to his shows quite often in the summertime. Journey yes, "Don't Stop Believin', Any Way You Want It, Lights, Wheel In The Sky," all classics!

Yes, that song was on CSI Miami! "Light My Fire" was in 1967. But the band did have songs released up to 1971. Do you remember the Ed Sullivan Show? The Doors sang this song on that TV show. Little fun fact for you, ha, ha.
