According to the Mayo Clinic, one of the benefits of brisk walking is that it •Improves your mood Well, I just proved them right. I wasn't in the best mood a few hours ago, so I decided to check the Internet about the benefits of walking. Seeing this line about improving the mood, I decided to go downstairs and put it to the test. I could only walk for 15 minutes as it turned out but it did put me in a more receptive mood. Hopefully, I will go back again after lunch to finish my walking session.

Good Marlina! I am glad you were able to go out and walk. See I missed my walk today and now I feel miserable because of it. I could not go early and had business to take care of shop, so now it is way too hot to do so.

@Happy2BeMe, When I had my surgery it took a long time for me to be able to walk more than a few minutes but I had some other problems. I am sure that you will be there soon.

I usually walk. God knows why but I developed that habit. I don't think it qualifies as brisk but it does help me to be in better frame of mind.

@marlina I did it and had to rush back home after half an hour, the color of the sky was menacing and in fact we had a late evening thunderstorm.

I briskly walked behind my mower. I feel great and my yard is looking better. I know it helps. During the school year I had the privilege of a daily after noon walk with a young student who needed it. It helped me a lot too.

It really does improve the mood also. I was too tired because of the heat but I have done a lot walking up and down steep slopes this afternoon and I am still raring to go.

@marlina Not likely but it showed me that I can keep it up but with caution in this very warm weather. We should all walk if we can´t do anything else.

@marlina Just so peaceful. Usually walk after dinnertime which helps digestion, and you enjoy seeing all the activity; the other walkers, people relaxing on the beach, and the sunset.

@marlina My knees kill me all the time so walking for me is difficult but I try to keep moving as much as I can throughout the day. When I sit for long periods of time it's worse. Glad that you're getting in some walking whether it's inside or outside

Hello @marlina! For sure walking is a very powerful remedy for many things. I used to run when I was younger, but now I practice Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga to maintain my mood well and also receive all the benefits they give us by meditating as well. I would love to go back running. I can remember when I got home I was feeling "powerful" and that feeling was rewarding to me. As I am setting new things to my life, I will consider returning to this running schedule.

Hello @manandezo, I did some jogging in the past and I loved it. Loved the "high" that it gave me. Unfortunately, things have changed and I can't do this anymore. I sure miss that powerful feeling too. Good luck with your new schedule.
