Well, I have had a snack and a soak

Our yard has never been pristine, but with hubby in hospital, and then with me having to drive him to work for a month and the intermittent rains, and lastly, stubborn mowers I have quite a crop of grass and weeds or herbs, whichever you want to call them. I spent about three hours outside this morning taking care of lawn and garden issues. I am perhaps one third done. When I ran out of gas in the mower I decided it was time for a high protein snack, some rehydration and an epsom salts soak. I added essential oils to the soak that are supposed to relax you, ease aches and pains and repel mosquitoes and other ugly buglies. It is entirely possible I will get back out there this evening. Meanwhile there are plenty of things to do inside. Happy Monday to us all. The image is not my yard, but is alongside one of the local streets.

We have lots of limestone all over the area. Many houses are built of it. We also seem to have lots of green that takes over everything. I do not mind at all. It feels peaceful, the air is good. We are hovering around those temperatures as well.

I did a part this morning. The front is shorter and drier than the back. It has gotten mowed een when the back has not. My neighbor mowed his front last night, I had to do mine this morning.

Yes, I love my oils and that they do so much without being toxic.

My lawn needs cutting as well. My husband works so much he never has the time for it. I have the babies to take care of so I rarely get the time either.

@GardenGerty Yeah, it's hard finding the time but my husband usually gets it done on Sundays when he's off work. By then, it's around 1 foot or 2, depending on how much rain we have had!

After all that work this morning, you deserve an afternoon break.

I find it is the best to plan on doing the out door stuff really early.

Taking care of the lawn is not a bad idea as it could be a form of exercise too. Taking care of the lawn is sometimes exciting to me. I hope it will be exciting to you as it is to me, since your huby is in the hospital at the moment.

Even when my husband is home, he is at work and I am the one who enjoys the yardwork. Hubby is out of the hospital, but still is having a lot of appointments for recovery.

Ugg, I hate to mow, glad I have a young man to do it for us. It has gotten dry lately so the yard has finally mostly stopped growing.

I like to do it, if I can start early in the day. We bought a used rider but it is out of commission right now. I am deadly to mowers, I think.

I mowed the lawn last Friday, I always spray my arms and legs, the mosquitoes are immediately over me when I go out.

Mosquitoes bother me very little. I am very concerned about ticks this year as I know many people who have gotten sick from them. The little "no see ums" sting and bite quite a bit.

@GardenGerty So true there are many ticks this year, I am concerned by mosquitoes bites because I am allergic.

It sounds like you have been hard at work. I think you deserve a break. Is it hot there? Make sure you don't overdo.

It does get hot after about ten in the morning. I try to be inside by then. I am drinking lots of fluids and eating fruits and veggies.

@GardenGerty I have been trying to get my husband to come in out of the heat at about 10 also. He insists on getting certain things done. He does drink a lot of water though so at least he does that.
