A Vacation For A Few Days

My grandson is going to go visit his dad for a few days. It will be so nice. He is a handful even at 14. Very demanding of his mom. She needs a rest. Can't sleep. She goes to bed and then he wakes her up after she's only been a sleep for a couple of hours. Then she can't get back to sleep. I think he has a lot of nerve.
So, it will be nice to have the apartment to ourselves, order out and relax for a couple of days.
Starts tomorrow evening.
Ahh.

His father is pretty weird. Never even showed any interest until he was about eight. Who knows why he doesn't spend more time with him. Maybe twice a year he will check in with him and maybe spend a little time with him.

probably 99 out of 100 boys are selfish and demanding. its how we treat that works. 2 out of 3 seem to grow out of most of that. i say that because i had 3 boys. 2 grew out of it. one never did.

He isn't always that way. But, he has a very unique relationship with his mom. You don't know the half of it.

No. His dad is wacko. He didn't even begin any kind of relationship with my grandson until he was about eight. That was because there was a big family get together at Christmas and he wanted to show off his son. My grandson has issues because of this.

@vsai2008 ......Don't even know what that would be like. With no money and no transportation we don't go out often.

It's good to know that you're still very caring of you daughter. That's good to see. Anyway, the child seems to be seeking attention which his mom's giving him. You could talk it out with her. Or more directly, you could talk it out to him.:)

THanks. My daughter has a learning disability and is bi-polar. We have had professionals on this for many years. Since he was about five or so. It's more than just talking to him. He has ODD.

My daughter was actually a little giddy yesterday. Acting all goofy and such. She needs these vacations more often.

No, he is still at his dad's. His mom told him he could stay as long as he liked. He doesn't start school until August 24th I believe.

Oh you have a teenage grandson! Such a cute boy but it is normal for kids attached to mom, meddle with her sleep, my son did too.

I am glad that you two will be resting, sometimes children can be something else to deal with.
