Yes I did and I am proud of it! The best way to save money is by not spending it. I did not spend a penny so the UPS guy will not be here any time soon.
Although it was Prime Day at Amazon - 30 hours of savings - I didn't go to the Amazon site once! I thought about it, but I was busy with other things. I figured I would probably get sucked in to purchases I didn't really need or want.
Did you get any deals at the big Amazon Prime Day?

@TiarasOceanView Yes. within a 40 min ride we have Walmart and Belk - that's it. To get to 'real' stores it's at least 1 1/2 hours north or south of us.

@AbbyGreenhill Is the town called Helen, on the Chattahoochee river? We have visited years ago driving there from Atlanta. It's a nice little town.

@LadyDuck Yes !! That's right I think we talked about it before. We were there about 5 years ago and loved it. We have wanted to go back but the problem is finding a reasonably priced pet friendly rental. The bakery there is fantastic - we brought home all kinds of goodies. I am working on reservations at a place 7 miles or so south of Helen. My husband's mouth is already watering for German food.

I am searching for the right rental cabin for a few days in September. It's a German town in GA and we've been there before, great bakery - best ever. My husband loves German food, me not so much (at all actually) but there are enough American places we'll be fine. So I was online searching and searching, but not on Amazon

I don't even know yesterday it was the Amazon Prime Day In fact I am not very interested in the promotion day for any online stores. I just buy whenever I need it rather than buy it because of there is the promotion. As I may buy something unnecessary and store a lot of stuffs at home. It is a kind of waste in my opinion.

No sorry I donĀ“t use them.
Amazon here is not that reliable as yet although they are improving with time.
Last year they were not good this year the service has improved quite a bit.

@AbbyGreenhill
In Spain they did set it all up some time back now.
But when they have got down to doing things properly people are gaining confidence in them.
The transport is still their main problem although they do what they say they will do much better than before.

I did not shop on Amazon for Prime Day. I haven't bought anything from Amazon in a long time actually. And you are right. The best way to save money is not to spend it. But it's hard to do these days.

I spend on Amazon all the time, I just didn't bother with all the hype for that day. I was doing research most of the day for something else.

@AbbyGreenhill I never signed up for Amazon Prime. It didn't seem worth it as I don't shop there a lot. But perhaps it's worth it even for just a few purchases... No?

I did a lot of reviews of Amazon products and to get the products w/o paying shipping Prime was the way to go. I make back the 99 easily each year.

My husband is always needing some little part or something and instead of driving to stores and spending hours doing so I buy on Amazon.
