I know in the Philippines most people have cellphone even the kids:)+ hehehe...'cause cellphone there is cheap, you can have a prepaid card, and cost you only 1 peso per text. Coversion is $1 USD= 52 pesos. And if you don't have a cellphone in the Philippines you are poor:)+ LOL! Even the ordinary people who don't have a decent job can easily own a cellphone there. How about in your country? Are you on plan/subscription or on prepaid? Please state where you from. I wanted to know the price different on every country. Thank YOU!

I'm from Indonesia, & I believe on my country fee for communication is the most expensive among member of ASEAN. For 1 message/sms it will be charged 350 rupiah. $1= 9100 rupiah. It's for cellular. I myself using prepaid on my cell. On fixed line, for local conversation it will be charged for 275 rupiah for 1 pulse. It's too expensive isn't it?

If I understand him correctly, he says $1 = 9100 rupiah. So a text msg costs him 350 rupia, or 3.5 cents, which isn't too bad. But I'm not understanding the 275, or 2.75 cents for 1 pulse.....what's a pulse?

I am from the US and I am on a two year contract plan so I pay a monthly bill which is about $45 a month on my bill. I am very happy with my service and do not need a home phone. My wireless carrier is very reliable and will not switch carriers.

I'm paying $39.99 + tax for 400 min/mo. on a cheap phone in the US. Decent service, and my only requirements for a c=cell phone are that it receives calls, makes calls, and fits in my pocket! Anything else is a bonus, and it does have limited internet on it! Aloha!

for singapore, depends on the plan and quality of the cell phone you are getting... cant really give you a price range as it varies too much.. ;)
