Jeovah's Witnesses, do they knock on your door every Sunday?

This is more a curiosity on my side. Every Sunday morning Jeovah's Witnessess knock on my door here in Atibaia, São Paulo. (In Petrópolis, it doesn't happen). They come every single Sunday, ring the bell once, twice, thrice, one billion times until you answer the door, or not. In particular, I answer them, because I don't like to let people on the door, talk to them a little and respectfully and get inside. Is this also a practice where you live? If so, what do you do?

@TiarasOceanView I am still very educated to them. I say I am not interested and give my back and get inside. I think this is the problem: being so polite! Next time I will try the opposite and let's see how it goes!

In Petrópolis they don't come and visit homes, but here in Atibaia, my Lord, it is every Sunday. Even being friendly, I think they should come, but less often.

I have Jehovah's Witnesses that live on either side of me @manandezo . They are always trying to talk me into going to the Kingdom Hall.

@nanette64 I can see they trying to talk to you every single day (and I am complaining about coming on Sundays).

Here in Atibaia it happens every single Sunday. And I even know the time they will come!

I have had them do that in the past but what I remember more is having them be walking around outside and coming up to me to talk. They would give me a pamphlet and want to try to connect with me to do a Bible study and I remember going once. I would read the pamphlets and I found it interesting but I will always be a Christian.

We all have our religious convictions, don't we? It is nice to know your story with them through your comment. Thank you so much! =)

Is the same thing here as well in the Philippines. They are very persistent in spreading their religion. But I don't let them in our house. I just talk to them at the gate. Because if you'll let them inside your house, you'll just only be giving them supreme confidence that there's a hundred (somewhat) percent chance that you'll be like them

@manandezo That's the reason why we don't let them in

I can understand that @mackoy85. I remember when I was a kid, we often left the gate opened as the area was really friendly and no violence at all, and a group just invaded the house and started talking to my grandmother. That was shocking and it was hard to make them out!

We had some one like that before we had our front renovated. When she asked something about changing questions gods rule, I just bust them off. They never came back.

From all the answers I got here, I think I should be more convincing telling them not to bother again. Thank you for your visit and comment, @Letranknight2015!

They do not knock on the door here. They sit in front of the post office.

Very interesting! Here they knock, ring the bell, call the owner of the house for hours and hours, if you don't respond. I can see it so many times here in Atibaia. When you are doing something and can't stop, this is a little stressful, but they don't understand it and continue.
