My Photography - Zoo Animals part 1

This is one of the first photos I took of the day at one of the big cat exhibits. I don't remember exactly what kind of cat this was but it was on the North America side so I am going to assume a cougar or mountain lion. He wouldn't face us but if you always had people staring at you, you probably wouldn't look at them either. There was another one in the exhibit as well but he was too far away.

It was shocked at how well some of these photos had turned out since the majority of them are taken through thick glass. I have two of the chimps that turned out really well and it looks like I was in the wild with them only standing a few feet away.

Thank you. The big cats at the zoo have been some of my favorites but I love the giraffes and tropical birds a lot as well.

That is a Puma or Mountain Lion @CaseyRoss9966 . Or it could be a Cougar. Gorgeous cat.

I don't remember what the sign outside of the exhibit said and no one kept a map from the trip so I can't look at it. I wish the Zoo's website kept a list of animals they have in the zoo but when I checked they only had certain ones listed.

That's a Puma concolor, aka cougar or mountain lion.... It's a very fierce creature. You did a grand job capturing it in your cam.....
