I see the commercials, and I still laugh. I feel like those losers, but I live in the country, there is nothing else here. Isn't that sad? DSL is available in town, but not here.

I can not imagine what it would be like to be back on dial up, it really sucked. I am on 4mb right now, and even this sometimes seems slow.

Dial Up vs. High Speed - Dial Up vs. High Speed Internet
Now that I have gone to DSL there is no way I would ever go back to dial up. I would rather have no internet access than dial up. My wife and I each have our own computers and with dial up only one of us could be on the internet, but now both of us can be on doing what ever we want. It is so GREAT!!!!

I understand what you mean pookie92, because I am also on dial-up. We do not have a choice either, as we are too far from the telephone exchange to get broadband and satellite is just way too expensive. I think that as much as anything else, myLot is part of the problem when there are a lot of members online at the same time. Of course playing games will not help either. Make sure you do a disc clean from time to time, and get rid of the junk that you do not need on the computer as that will also slow things down a bit. Good luck. :)

thanks for the link- i'll take a look. but sorry about the dial up. i know how that goes. my job had dial up forever- when they finally switched my boss' computer to dsl, no one wanted to go on the regular computer anymore. she had to get dsl for the whole office.

I can't imagine using dial up with mylot, I have high speed and there are times that it's still slow. I suggest you upgrade your internet.
