On to the next job

For the last few months, I've been able to work from home. Unfortunately, my contract ended and hasn't been renewed. I am still trying to get all the details, but not having much luck getting in touch with the company, which is frustrating. So, I guess I am without work for the time being and in search of something else. As much as I'm not completely happy that I lost my job, it gives me the chance to look for something else, something that I might like even more. And for the moment, my husband is still being called into work. So hopefully that continues, at least until I figure out what I'm doing. Not an easy situation, but it could be a lot worse. I am trying to focus on the positive and just keep moving forward.

I hope that you get to find a new job soon. It is now very difficult to manage when you don't have a job.

That is the trouble with contract work. Hopefully the experience gives you an edge on the next contract. What kind of work do you do?

I was doing some customer service. But now I'm not sure what I'll do. I'm thinking of trying something else.

Think of it as time to breathe and gather your thoughts. Yes, the loss of money is not an easy one, but the new found time for other things can be a blessing. I hope you find something that suits you and your needs as well.

@ElusiveButterfly I would probably prefer something that I could do from home. But if not, I would really like something not too far. I'm really not looking for a long commute.

That's a good way of looking at it. Time to breathe, think, and just take some time away. It is kind of nice to have more time with my kids and to help my husband when he works. I'm sure something else will come along.

Thanks. It was partially online. But mostly just done on my computer. I was doing some customer service.

Thanks. It is kind of unreliable and unpredictable. I was happy to have it for the time that I did, but such is life. It's over and now time to figure out what's next.

Something will come along. How do you find jobs that you can do at home? I am surprised that the people you worked for didn't let you know you wouldn't be renewed. I will keep my fingers crossed that you will find something soon.

It's something that I was able to find. I did some digging around and such. And I found this. It did surprise me as well that I wasn't told, but that's just the way it is. I'm keeping my fingers crossed too.
