Hi, I went to Vegas last year. You definitely want to stay on the strip and you want the south end of the strip. There are a lot options. MGM Grand is nice, Ceasar's Palace is nice, Bellagio is great, Venetian is nice too. Excalibur is nice and family oriented. NYNY I have heard is loud because of the roller coaster over the hotel. We did a tour of the Hoover Dam. It was purchased in the hotel and it was wonderful! My husband loved it! And with the heightened security there, it was nice to go with a group who knew how to get in.

Hey, that's a good and detailed answer. Especially the bit with the NYNY was very informative and helpful.

definitely stay on the strip and look for the best deals at one of the nicer casino hotels. We stayed at the Flamingo and loved the central strip location for walking everywhere. Check out a map before you book anything

well it depends on i think age groups too! and cost sometimes.. when we went we stayed at the hard rock hotel!.. off of the strip! but BEAUTIFUL! if you enjoy music history!. not a HUGE amount to offer casino wise .. some tables and slots of course.. no card games like poker and holdem.. but i went to other places for those.. nicer for a younger crowd.. i dont think i seen even one senior in the whole place.. seemed kinda formatted for kids just reached that age! 21+ lol but great for music oriented!... like a museum of music memorabelia in there!

I got there every year. I can't tell you which is the best hotel to stay because we have a time share there but some great casinos to check out is MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Caesar's Palace and Treasure Island. Just walk down the strip and you'll find plenty to see and do. There is alot of free shows like Caesar's Palace and Treasure Island (with a ship, pirates and lots of fire). Good luck!
