I can hardly wait. My last vacation was only in January but feels like eons ago. It seems that after about 6 months at my job and no vacation I begin to feel the symptoms of being burnt out big time (do you too?). Especially lately since there are some major changes and stressors going on at the moment.
I will be going to Denver and driving to Utah for a day which Im super pumped for. And even after being there for 5 days, Ill have 2 days off at home to unwind or do whatever! Very pumped indeed .
When was your last vacation? Do you experience the same thing as me - the burnout without breaks in working? Hope everyone is having a fabulous Saturday!

I am retired and lately I take my vacations in winter so that I can skip the cold a bit.

I just had July 1st thru 10th off and it was wonderful. I usually take a vacation every 6 months also. Sometimes you just need a break especially when your busy and feel stressed and burnt out like you said. I hope you enjoy your vacation coming up.

@maezee Maybe i'll start here first in my country. Coz there are so many beauiful places here specially the beach. I just don't have time and extra money coz i've been a single mom but things get better now so maybe sooner or later i can make it happen.

7 days in 6 months is still better than no vacation at all. it's also good to spend a few days home after a vacation before going back to the office.

I guess being "retired" means every day is vacation for me.

My last vacation was last October when we went to my fiance's son's wedding. I can't wait until I feel better so I can have a vacation before I go back to work in October. Have a great vacation.

Enjoy - it sounds like fun. I don't really take vacations anymore now that I only work part time.

Since I am retired, we have time to take mini vacations which I do regularly.

Even if I didn't go anywhere, I always took a vacation to get away from work. You really need to. Have a fun vacation.
