vitamins make me sleepy so i take them at night.
you'd have to experiment and observe how your own body reacts when you take it after breakfast vs when you take it after dinner.

I've always taken my vitamin supplement in the morning, with breakfast. The reason for this, they upset my stomach if taken without a meal.

I think it is also suggested by many doctors to take them after 1 hour after a meal. The reason: some minerals like iron, copper and selenium may cause gastric disturbances when taken on an empty stomach. So it's always better to take them after having something. Even a smoothie would do, but beware don't take iron with calcium, because iron forms a complex salt with calcium which causes low or no absorption of iron and calcium. So taking them both together is useless. My advice take a calcium tab with milk or milkshake. And iron and other multivitamins and mutliminerals after a meal. Hope this helps.(*_*)/*!

I think the best time to take vitamin tablets is in the morning after breakfast.
