What About Rainbows?

Rainbows are a “meteorological phenomenon” that scientists have a difficult time explaining. Have you ever really thought about rainbows? Do you know the seven colors of the rainbow in the order that they appear. Starting with the outside edge, the colors are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. On a double rainbow, in the second rainbow the colors are reversed. Rainbows are so complicated that Wikipedia has over ten pages of information attempting to describe and explain rainbows, including a “mathematical derivation” on the “refractive index of water” and the “perceived angle,” among other things that scientists have come up with. All sorts of experiments have been done to try to explain how rainbows are formed but one thing that all scientists agree on is that rainbows are a “natural phenomenon.” The Bible explains rainbows this way: (After Noah and his family came out of the ark, after the Great Flood) “Then God said to Noah and his sons with him. “I am now establishing my covenant with you and with your offspring after you and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the animals and all the living creatures of the earth with you, all those that came out of the ark – every living creature of the earth. Yes, I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all flesh be destroyed by the waters of a flood and never again will a flood bring the earth to ruin.” “And God added: “This is the SIGN of the covenant that I am making between me and you and every living creature that is with you for all future generations. I put my RAINBOW in the cloud, and it will serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring a cloud over the earth, then the rainbow will certainly appear in the cloud. And I will certainly remember my covenant that I made between me and you and every living creature of every kind, and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the rainbow will occur in the cloud and I will certainly see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind on the earth.” God repeated to Noah: “This is the SIGN of the covenant that I establish between me and all flesh that is on the earth.” Genesis 9:8-17 So, it was God who created the rainbow and man can only TRY to explain it otherwise, because God created ALL things in nature and humans can only wonder about HOW HE created rainbows and all the other wonderful things in “nature.” We have God to thank for the rainbow. It is a SIGN he gave to mankind. Believe it or not!

I feel sorry for those who don't believe that rainbows are a gift from God. Do they have another explanation that makes them smarter than the scientists who can't figure it out? Where else could rainbows come from? Tell me, if you know.
