What is your favorite gift for wedding

I received a message from my friend. She invited me to attend her daughter'wedding .I was not available to join with them at wedding day . So i decided to buy a gift for her.I had no idea what gift is good for her.I wanted some suggestions on it. I knew they want a gift card of a store .I think it was the best way to buy some things by them selves.

Do they have a registry where you can purchase from! Or provide them a store they'd like? Generic stores like target would be useful.

I honestly have never gifted anybody on their wedding. My mom would always buy kitchen stuff. It's very common here in my country. I can't suggest any gift cards since i'm not from the US. But good luck in finding the best one.

Here the money will be a good gift for wedding as the couples can buy whatever they want. It is practical and it will not be wasted. If there is a closer relationship, then a gold jewelry will be a nice wedding gift.
