is Singapore more western than the west ? The technology of the west with the discipline of the east... would the culmination of best of both the worlds be called Singapore ?

Nope, I don't think Singapore is more western than the west. In the first place, even though we do practice political 'freedom', it's very much different from what is happening in the west. Our minds are still closed, because of the traditions that have bonded us.
