I usually check the time first because since I have my mobile phone, I use it to tell the time.

I always turn my phone off to save on the battery unless I am expecting a phone call. I use it for calculating money and making phone calls. I guess it depends on where I am what I do when first look at it. When I am selling when I reach a point in figuring out sales I go to my calculator. If I need to call someone I go to the phone.
