My whole data is at risk

Hello Friends 
Another problem with my laptop so I wasn't online since last three to four days. Now it was hard disk and its really irritating one.
Its not loading at all, and my whole old data is at risk. I always use to backup my work data at other place. But what about photos!! It is having very important photos even of my sister's marriage. She will kill me if she will know about it.
I have given hard disk to some hardware expert and I told him to put it in case with USB cable so later on I can use it as external storage. But there is no surety about hard disk will work. Hope my data will be fine.
For now I have purchased another small hard disk (temporary). I am already searching for new laptop. I don't want to take any risk with my oldie!!

it sounds like it's time to replace it. i've saved my pictures in a usb and also have a dropbox account.

@akp100 then you probably need what they call an external hard drive? so in case something happens to your laptop, the pictures are still safe.

I am troubled with my desktop. I called up the so called engineer and he promised me to visit tomorrow. Let me see. He has not been picking the call and no responses so far. I think I have to demand a new computer very soon.
You too get a new one instead of repairing the old one.
