Creative Names for Grandma and Grandpa

My oldest grandchild calls me Amma. She came up with that soon after she started talking and it stuck. (I love it.) She's almost 5 now. My other two grands are still babies and can't talk much yet. I'm looking forward to hearing what they will call me someday soon. I just called my grandmother "grandma". That's a little boring I think. When my daughter was about 2, she came up with "Moggy" for my mother. So cute. One friend of ours was blessed with his first grandchild a few years ago. His name became "Pee Pee" when the little boy started talking. What creative and/or funny grandparent names would you share in the comments (please)?

When I was trying to teach our first grandchild to say Grandma, it came out Caca and it stuck. I've been Caca to all the grandkids ever since. It worked out well for the first one because with all the steps, half, inlaws and outlaws, she had about eight grandmothers!

@BloggerDi At the time she already had several "Grandma"s, so I became the only Caca among them!

Ha! I love this! Now if all the "Cacas" got together at the same time, that would be confusing. Thanks @1creekgirl.

My niece called my mother mama, which is the same as we called our mom!

@BloggerDi She doesn't want to be called grandma because she was just 50years old when she became a grandma so she prefer to be called mama instead.

I'm just plain old Grandma to my granddaughter and grandson, and grammy to the cat. Lol!

Thanks for your comment @DianneN. Ha, grammy to the cat, huh? Cute! I have a granddog. We adopted her from my daughter when she and her family moved into their apartment. I'm not sure what the dog calls me though; I haven't heard her say anything yet.

Good point @Courtlynn. Thanks for sharing. "Common" might have been a better word than "boring" for me to use there.

@BloggerDi I really only knew one grandparent and that was my mother's father. I guess I am boring because I called him Grandpa. I guess if say it in Hebrew I would call him Sabba which is Grandfather in Hebrew.

@BloggerDi You are welcome. I love it too. If he was in Israel with me then I would call him Sabba. I loved my Grandpa so it was never boring to call him that.

Hi @Hannihar. It's only boring if it's boring to you. I love the Hebrew word "Sabba". I enjoy learning new words and those from another language. Thanks for your comment!

I called them baa and baba... Really like the sheeps. Also, I used to call my grandpa grams when I was around 10. Didn't call my granny grammy though. That's already taken, right?(*_*)
