Yikes! Have I lost my mind? To answer your question it is NO. I don’t like sauces that you buy in the market. Therefore, I have come up with the most delicious sauce you have ever tasted.
Believe it or not the oyster sauce mixed with Dijon mustard, honey, a little soy sauce and ketchup makes the best BBQ sauce you have ever tasted.
This wonder sauce is excellent for stir-fry, BBQ, basting and baking.
The other night my boyfriend wanted a hamburger. Now, as you know I am not a great fan of burgers or meat. However, adding this special sauce to the meat when it was cooking made a really tasty bacon hamburger.
When you cook hamburgers at home do you use the BBQ sauce in a bottle or do you make your own?

This is the first time I cooked them in 2 years. Normally when the grandkids come we have to eat hamburgers at least twice.

oyster sauce on a burger sounds interesting. i haven't tried it but I might just do next time I have a burger. As for sauces, it really depends on my mood. If I'm up for it, i make my own sauce. Other times, I just settle for some mustard, mayo, and hot sauce.

@poehere that is quite the sauce that you had. I guess I'll try it one of these days.

@allen0187 It is great with fish, veggies, stir-fry and BBQ. I love this sauce and seem to make it a lot here lately.

@silvermist My granddaughter tried a hamburger once when we went out. She complained about the hamburger. She said it was burned and over cooked. I am not a hamburger person and it is not often I will eat one.

I don't care for oysters so I have never tasted oyster sauce. I rarely use BBQ on anything. I do experiment in the kitchen, though.

@RichardMeister Oyster sauce is used for so many different things. Here we get it in bottles from China I think. We use Oyster sauce with our raw fish, cooking some sort of pork dish I don't eat, and many other things. It is actually rather good.

@poehere I'll have to see if I can find a small container of it to try. If I don't like it then I'm not stuck with a lot of it.

If I have my own kitchen, I will make burgers! That is my favorite aside from pizza. I just don't have the guts yet to making something like that coz my mother in law is very health conscious.

That sauce really changes the flavor of the meat. I am not a hamburger fan at all. However, the other night they were delicious and for the first time I did enjoy eating a hamburger.

That sounds good. What do you use on the turkey burgers when you cook them. I cooked my burgers in this sauce. Then all I need on my hamburger is ketchup, tomatoes, and fries. Yes have to have the fries on the burger to make it worth eating.

Glad that you enjoyed your burger. Here it is beautiful, sunny and warm. I live in the tropics so it is never what you would call cold here on the islands.
