Favorite "Night" Songs #5 - "Fly by Night"

Almost anyone that knows me would not be surprised by #5 in my Favorite "Night" Songs (songs with "night" in the title) series: "Fly by Night" by Rush.
The title track from their 1975 platinum album, "Fly by Night" was the first Rush single released outside of their native Canada. It remains Rush's biggest selling single, 5 × platinum as of 2009. A live version was released as a single (combined with "In the Mood) in 1976, and reached #88 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Drummer Neil Peart wrote the song about his move to England at the age of 18. The song has been used in both the Supernatural and Degrassi High TV series', as well as a very funny Volkswagen Passat commercial.
If you don't care much for bassist Geddy Lee's vocals, and they can be an acquired taste, "Fly by Night" is not going to change your mind. But five million people can't be wrong, can they?

I think that he has gotten better as a singer as he's gotten older. I couldn't imagine anyone else singing for them.

Not my favorite group but I like this song. I really enjoyed the Rush concert scene in the movie "I love you man." And I got into a few of their songs. Tom Sawyer comes to mind...

@dgobucks226 - I just throw them out there. I get a lot of "Never heard of them" comments, which is to be expected. I pretty much do these for my own amusement, so it's always nice if someone likes it.

@teamfreak16 Some groups are acquired taste...I would be cautious to even list some groups I listen to, but you know, groups can grow on you after awhile.
