Do you recall any of your past lives? Here is one of mine.

I have heard it said that the reason we are born in the country that we have been born in now is because we have past karma attaching us to that country. We have lived a life in that country at some time before.
For example, every person, living in Australia now, has lived there before, because of their karma linked into that last life. This is why they have been born there (or migrated there) again now.
Yes, I also recall having lived as an Aboriginal named Unami, back in Arnhem land around 2000 years ago. I lived simply like the others, but I often looked up at the stars, and wondered what they were exactly.
I was a male then, and I lived a long life for those days, of 34 years 6 months, when I died of an infection caused by my stepping on something, a thorn perhaps, in the outback of Western Australia, near Kalgoorlie, as what it is called it now.
What karma brought me back again now then to my being born in Australia, this time around?
I was overly attached to this land, and I loved living there before, but now I do not love living here at all, because I cannot adapt to the changes made by the white overlords, who are now overpopulating and destroying more and more of the precious land.
I did not come back because of bad karma then, but more to see what I could do now myself to change this position from getting any worse. I am depressed because I think that I can do relatively nothing about it all, but perhaps my writing about it will put the vibes of this thinking out there for others to pick up on too.

Yes, I didn't remember that past life above yesterday either, only today, did it come to me, for some reason, or another.

Yes, there is no scientifically variable proof of any of this, but I do not let this "need" for proof stop me from remembering these things, as I enjoy doing so, and my re-experiencing of these things again, be they really past lives, or not, they seem real enough to me.
At times, they are stronger than what a nightly dream is. You are awake. You feel and see these remembrances with all of your senses. You can feel a whip hitting your back, for example. It feels so real.

Thanks. Yes, some people will be interested, others not. We usually write about what interests ourselves. I know I do.
There is no proof, and there probably will never be proof for this. This is why I like delving into areas where science has no say. I can write what I like, and nobody can deny it categorically. After all, it's my own experience of it.

I probably don't really either, but I enjoy delving into this area, to see what I might come up with.
Some interesting experiences come up for me then. Are they really past lives, who knows for sure, but I like to try these things, otherwise you will never know.
This type of a recall is recalling something. I am just not sure what it really is.
Maybe, like a dream, we piece something together, in our minds somehow, to try to "solve" one of our present life's problems from various archetypes, or collective memory pools out there. This could be another type of an explanation for what is happening here.

Yes, I have had many such recalls. I think a lot of other people have too.
It started for me nearly forty years ago, when I was hypnotised and I had a past life memory of my life spent in ancient Egypt. Since then, I seem to have been opened up to recall now a lot more of them too.
I think that we have many of these recalls in our nightly dreams too.

Well, a memory is just a memory. It all depends on where it really came from. Was it invented, or picked up from somewhere else, like a radio signal is.
I also have memories of when I was in my mother's womb, for example. These also were revealed to me under hypnosis. They also seemed to be to be credible and real, but who really knows the truth about these things enough to prove conclusively what is really, in fact, going on here.

I have no recollection of past lives though certain scenes flash by at times.
I do not know their relevance though, or whether they are connected to my previous lives.
There are cases recorded where children are able to recollect clearly who their parents were during previous births.
It is mentioned in Indian scriptures that we would enter another body depending on our desires and urges during the present lifetime. If we have no real desire to be back then we are released from the cycle of births and deaths.
Whatever progress we make in the realm of science and technology, we have no clue what happens when we die or where we were before our birth. I believe it can also be our subconscious mind acting up with regard to some of our lingering thoughts and desires - siva

Nice summing up siva.
Yes, a few religions include this concept within their beliefs and teachings.
I believe that reincarnation was also once included in the Christian bible too, but most instances referring to it were removed during the major clean up of it that took place in about the third century after Christ, I think, at the Council of Nicea.
There is a well-known verse left in the Christian bible, though, where Jesus Christ himself hints to his disciples that John the Baptist, was the reincarnation of Elijah, the old Testament Prophet.
"And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come."
Matthew, chapter 11, verse 14.

@Shiva49 Yes, I agree with you there.
We should try to grow ourselves forwards, but sometimes understanding the past can help us to do this better too. We shouldn't shut out any experience that can help us to move forwards then.

@innertalks Yes Steve, I recall reading that reincarnation did find a place in the Bible but was later erased.
We all may have some continuity and recollection in certain ways, but our creator wants us to move ahead than get weighed down by thoughts of past lives that can cast a long shadow; why, we get bogged down by what happened even in this life! siva
