A little bit of Australia in a French market

Recently we spent three nights with friends in a quaint little village near Capestang in France. On the Sunday we went to the markets and enjoyed wandering up and down the various aisles. You could have bought just about anything there. There were many food stalls and many selling ‘products de terroir’ (products of the local region) such as olive products of all sorts, a vast array of cheeses and pates as well as meat and fish products. Local vegetables and fruits were selling well too. I liked this photo of the colourful bags. If I’d noticed the one incorporating the Australian flag I might have taken more notice of it. As it was we bought some soap and some pates which we left for our friends to enjoy.

I sometimes do a jigsaw online and these remind me of some of the ones I've had to solve.

They're obviously catering for tourists. There are some stars and stripes bags there too.

That's amazing ! and It is a Good initiative selling ‘products de terroir’, in order to valorize these products and the region as well

The French are right into promoting the products of their particular region. And good luck to them for doing it too.

We have a monthly one nearby and next week they are incorporating a car boot sale as well. So we are going to load up some items we don't want and take them to the sale.
