Marsha's Log: July Was Crazy!

And, August is already starting that way, but I am going to make my attempt to get in here more often again. I had a few people contact me through facebook to make sure I was ok since I had not been here. There was Bible school in July along with several "kids camps" at that same church throughout the month. I took the grandkids to most of them. Of course there were the festivities with lots of family for the 4th of July holiday days. I am still babysitting out of town each week for 3 of the grandchildren. I did keep them at my house some of the nights to take them to the kids camps. Hubby had his vacation and we went on a nice camping trip. We rented a camper at the RV park. I loved it! It was old...built in 8 track player, but I am still in awe of the storage space inside. I had a quilt retreat this past weekend. The picture is of the Braid In a Day that I learned how to do while there. I've had the pattern and template for 5 years now just sitting in my room. It was fun to make. I plan to make 2 of the braids into a baby blanket, and the 3rd one into a table runner. I'm babysitting now since last night and until Thursday late afternoon. We are working this week on the final preparations for my oldest daughters baby shower on Sunday. School will soon start. Hopefully it won't be up to me often to get the kids to school or from school. Cross your fingers for me on that one! I will close now. I hope your July went well.

I am glad you had a nice camping trip. Was there a lake or river near by where you went camping? Those quilt pieces look very pretty

It was an RV park and they have several fishing ponds, one of them being larger. I took pictures but shared on facebook and then to the rabadaba app. I should go get them saved to my computer so I can share some here.

@paigea My hubby, son, and his girlfriend did a lot of fishing. It costs $4 a day there to fish but no license is needed. They didn't keep anything but I had brought along breading just in case.

Been a busy one here as well. I understand not being able to be here as often as you would like, but your summer sounds exciting, the renting an rv especially

I love renting the campers there. It's only $50 a night and they give you the dishes, cookware, utensils etc that you need plus toilet paper, dish soap and paper towels. And each camper also has a coffee pot, toaster, and microwave as well. Plus I like the RV park because they have a regulation swimming pool and activities in the club house.

Very nice braid. Nice pattern and colors. Hope you won't have to constantly keep transporting the kids. Also hope your August isn't as complicated.

Fingers are crossed. I would love instructions/pattern for that braid in a day. I am going to plan on us shop hopping, already told my co workers. We need time to get away from stuff and visit. I am cleaning right now, expecting company.

You had a busy month in July. Hopefully you can slow down a little bit and catch your breath. Nothing really exciting was happening in the month of July until my accident on the 20th. That made up for the whole month.

July was great for me and August is suppose to be really hot. So we might be staying home more. No one wants to walk around in this heat.
